INTERNET MARKETING

We get businesses on the 1st page of Google, Bing and Yahoo for their products and services, which generates leads and sales.

WHAT IS INTERNET MARKETING?

Internet Marketing is also called Search Engine Marketing (SEO) and means that your business website shows up in search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing when someone searches for your products and/or services.

There are two types of SEO: (10 Organic SEO and (2) Pay-Per-Click Ads

Example of Organic Internet Marketing – SEO

Your Website needs to be specifically coded and optimized using a specific unique process to show up in search results based on specific keywords for your product and/or service.

For example, if a potential customer that lives in Shelby Twp. was looking to have their Concrete Driveway replaced. They might Google “concrete driveway shelby twp mi.”

You can see in the screenshot on the right, our client is the fist local business listed in the search result. Angieslist is a directory website, not another company that offers concrete driveways. This is an example of Organic Internet Marketing or Organic SEO.

TYPES OF INTERNET MARKETING

There are two primary types of Internet Marketing: (1) Organic and (2) Paid Ads

Organic Internet Marketing

Organic internet marketing known as Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of creating a website and/or web pages that are optimized for specific keywords. When a website is built with SEO it will organically rank (the position on search engines) and show up in search engine like Google, Bing and Yahoo for those keywords.

The example on the right shows our client Dana Insulation in the 1st and 2nd positions on the 1st page of Google for the keyword phrase “crawl space insulation grosse pointe.”

Additionally, the company’s Google Knowledge Card for Dana Insulation is displayed on the right. Note this is being displayed even though we did not Google the company name. Instead we Googled the keyword phrase, “crawl space insulation grosse pointe.” This is the result of managing the companies Google My Business (GMB) listing and correctly listing the business information along with photos and videos. There is no better organic search result than your GMB Knowledge Card being displayed for your service keyword phrase.

Paid Ads Internet Marketing

Paid Ads usually means Pay-Per-Click advertising on search engines such as Google AdWords and Bing Ads. You can also have paid ads on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.

Google Adwords and Bing Ads are the most popular and lucrative depending on your customer and their goal. When someone goes online on Google or Bing and searches “garage door replacement” they are looking to shop and spend money to have their garage door replaced. People Don’t use Facebook or Instagram that way. They use Facebook/Instagram to look at cute pictures of dogs or find out news. Not begin the process and online journey of ordering a replacement garage door.

That doesn’t mean that Facebook and Instagram are not not excellent sources to market ads to potential customers. It just matters how you do it, who you customer is and what they need.

For example, lets say the customer with the broken garage door began researching local companies around their area to replace their broken garage door. The potential customer Google’s the keywords “garage door replacement.” 3 Google Ads are listed at the top of the page above the Google Map Pack (see image on right) showing the 3 closest locations to the potential customer from where they are searching from at the time of the search (important) and also shows 10 organic listings below the Map Pack followed by 3 more ads at the bottom of the page.

The customer can either click on one of the ADs at the top or click one of the Map Pack Locations and then the business website or click one of the organic links directly to the business website. Each of these links can have what’s called a Facebook Pixel. A Facebook Pixel is a small script (code) that places a Cookie in your internet browser. Once the potential customer visits your website or page that have the pixel/cookie your ads will then follow and show up on other platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. You can also use Google ads that will remarket to other websites they visit like Amazon as well as You Tube. This is called Remarketing or Retargeting and is very popular.
